Fawley Museum and Railway visit - Friday 8th May 2026

This is a rare chance to visit the Fawley Museum and private railway. This tour will support the Fawley Museum.

Meeting on site in Henley-on-Thames this visit will aim to cover as much of the available lines/track on the Fawley private railway subject to on the day operational arrangements and constraints. The train will be diesel hauled (shunter D2120/03120) with a single wagon. Attendees will also have chance to tour the vast private museum collection.

You will need to make your own travel arrangements to reach the site for approximately 11am - directions and instructions will be provided in the e-ticket to be issued five days prior to this fixture. The fixture is limited to 25 members.

Participants will need to bring photo ID and wear sturdy footwear. Please be aware that there are no catering facilities on site, so we suggest bringing a packed lunch.

A volunteer/s to write a BLN report would be welcome!

There is no reduction for under 18s, and to make BLS tours possible, a proportion of the ticket price will go toward covering essential costs. Please note that we are unable to accept bookings from under 18s unless accompanied by an adult.

Please note that tickets are NOT transferable. Smoking, vaping, drones, tripods, monopods, flash photography and commercial photography is not permitted on these tours. No wheelchair access is available. The Society will not accept any liability arising from changes imposed by any third parties (either before or on the day) or any consequences of any late running that may occur. Please be cautious about connections and buying advance train tickets. Please note no refunds will be entertained on cancellations within ten days of the fixture. Tickets will be sent out approximately five days before the fixture - this will be an e-ticket.
